Checking Your Bike Accessories
What are They?
Bike accessories are the post-purchase products like bike racks, water bottle cages, fenders, headlights, tool bags and so on that cyclists often add to their bikes.
What do they Do?
They do just about everything; from holding onto headlamp batteries to carrying your books or lunch, to keeping the mud from streaking up your back when you hit the trail.
What Needs to be Checked?
Develop a system of quick accessory checks to cover all of your add-on accessories. Check each one briefly to make sure it's positioned correctly, secured and not interfering with your normal riding.
How Often should I Check?
Check your accessories quickly before every ride.
